Resources

The Web Development team has several resources that it uses on a regular basis. Some of them are things we created ourselves, while others are sites and books from external sources. We are happy to share them with you.

Hosted by Computing & Communications, the CMS site features information and background on the OmniUpdate CMS, including best practices, policies, roles and responsibilities.

UCR Web Writing and Style Guidelines

Also available through the CMS website, the site features an introductory video on Writing for the Web by Content Manager Ross French, a list of tips and points of emphasis, and style guide with UCR-specific word usage.

UCR Web Developers Site

UCR Web developers can contact programmer and site architect Robert Bottomley to gain access to "Bob's Dev Shack," a treasure trove of Web resources. From fancy bulleted lists to pretty boxes to scripts and template tags, this site can help you create a great site.
